LIHI NAGLER & NIR FERBER PRESENT SHORT FILMS!

This year Warsaw JFF presents 2 special and exclusive short films program selected and curated by our film experts Lihi Nagler and Nir Ferber!

Dr Lihi Nagler is a film scholar affiliated with the Department of Literature, Art & Linguistics at The Open University of Israel. She has dual Israeli and Polish citizenships and lives in Berlin since 2007. Lihi is the Head of the non-profit organisation:´Jewish Moving Pictures: Film Curation for a Better Future’. She serves as a curator at the Jewish Film Festival Berlin and at the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival. She was a Max Planck Gesellschaft–Minerva Foundation postdoctoral fellow at the Seminar for Film Studies, Freie Universität, Berlin, and was previously a visiting scholar at Harvard University, and a lecturer at Tel University and Sapir Academic College in Israel and at Freie Universität Berlin. Lihi has more than 20 years experience of teaching and mentoring young students from around the world in Hebrew, English and German. 

Nir Ferber is currently a PhD candidate at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. He is a member of the programming committee of the Docaviv – the Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival, and the organizer of SERET Israeli Film Festival in Berlin. He has taught university classes in film theory and was the co-editor and producer of a film and television journal. Based in Berlin since 2017.

Shorts presented in our program were selected to the festival competition in 2 categories: Camera of David for the Best Narrative Short and Camera of David for the Best Documentary Short! Our international Jury will announced the winners on November 22nd!

Second part of the program “RITES OF PASSAGES" will be premiered on November 21st at 4:00 pm!

This program includes 4 films and it's a combination of narrative and documentary shorts.
