The political and legal system in Austria during the 60’s enables entire restitution for committed atrocities and Victor sees no way to obtain due justice under the law. When Victor’s father passes away and his girlfriend's family opposes their relationship, Victor completely loses faith in the system and takes alternative actions.

Historical drama set against the backdrop of the Israeli-Lebanese conflict in 1984 and 2006. It depicts the journey of two families on each side of the border whose fates intertwine because of the war raging in Lebanon. Spanning over 20 years, the film follows two women, a Lebanese and an Israeli, who bond amid the war and embark on a road trip together to rescue a loved one. French-Israeli director Michale Boganim’s powerful documentary-style aesthetic vividly captures the brutality of combat, as well as the trans-generational trauma, which continues to impact the female characters decades later. The movie is complemented by a fantastic score by jazz star Avishai Cohen.

For the last 40 years of her life, Libitzky made it her mission to tell her harrowing life story at hundreds of school assemblies to ensure the young people of America never forget what happened in Europe 80 years ago. Libitzky passed away at 97 in 2021, but this new film featuring these eight students will carry on her legacy.
