How do the stories of our ancestors influence our lives? By following the journeys of selected protagonists, we have the chance to see how decisions made years ago determine their personal histories. These four films present completely different perspectives, yet all share a common thread: looking back and attempting to understand one’s place in the world through the fate of past generations.
This theme also features in the POLIN Museum's newest gallery - the Bonds (Więzi). Through this curated selection of films, we wish to contribute further chapters to the stories presented there.
