The retrospective of Artur Brauner’s films - the laureate of Honorary Camera of David 2019.

From the producers of Europa Europa comes this mesmerising drama about three extraordinary musical prodigies whose friendship overcomes barriers of religion and nationality.Wunderkinder tells a tale of three exceptionally musically talented children. The two Jewish children Larissa and Abrascha are both virtuosos – one on the piano and the other on the violin. Hanna, a young German girl, is also extremely gifted. Living in Poltava/Ukraine in 1941, they all share one great love: music. Their world is one of curiosity, joy and talent. But when the Nazis invade the Soviet Union, they and their families face mortal peril, and their world is turned upside down. A powerful and moving drama told from a child’s point of view. The film received special accolades at both the Jerusalem International Film Festival and the Giffoni International Film Festival, Europe largest children’s film festival.
