THANK YOU!
A BIG HEARTFELT THANK YOU!
THE 18TH WARSAW JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL IS NOW HISTORY. IT TOOK PLACE FROM NOVEMBER 16th TO 22nd and WE CAN ALREADY CONFIDENTLY SAY THE 18TH WJFF WAS A BIG SUCCESS!
This year’s edition was highly unusual due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing closure of cinemas. Nevertheless, we are glad that we decided to persevere and organize the festival in online format. Audience numbers exceeded our expectations and we are truly pleased to announce that during the festival week our screenings attracted nearly 40 thousand participants on three platforms (WJFF-Vimeo, Ninateka.pl and Tokfm.pl).
We would like to thank you for the interest shown in our event and for your tremendous activity on our social media.
WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO OUR GRANTORS, SPONSORS, PARTNERS AND MEDIA PARTNERS FOR INVALUABLE SUPPORT DURING THE FESTIVAL.
We would like to thank our main partner - POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews - for long-standing contribution to the development of the WJFF and support for accompanying events.
Special thanks for supporting the idea of our festival to The City of Warsaw, Mazovian Voivodeship, The Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation, The Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Jewish Historical Institute.
We would like to thank our splendid partners: FINA and Ninateka, Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland, Kulczyk Foundation, Embassy of Israel, Embassy of the Netherlands, Embassy of Canada, Embassy of Germany, French Institute in Warsaw, Italian Institute of Culture in Warsaw, Communication Unlimited, Andrzej Wajda Centre For Film Culture, Lodz Film School, Mindspace, Galicja Jewish Museum and JCC Warsaw.
This year’s festival would not be possible without our media partners: CANAL+, „Gazeta Wyborcza” and „Co jest Grane 24”, Radio TOK FM and Gazzetta Italia. We thank you all for the joint promotion of Jewish culture in Poland.
