At the end of 1942, 10-year-old Larissa escapes from the Warsaw Ghetto by climbing a ladder... On the "Aryan" side, she is taken and will be protected by a Polish family. A 16-year-old Helena looks after Larissa and treats her like a younger sister. A few weeks later, Larissa has to leave the flat. The girl and Helena will be apart from now.
